For the past 45 years, it has been the honor of my lifetime to serve this community in law enforcement. Together, we have worked to keep our neighborhoods safe, support those in need, and build trust between law enforcement and the community members we proudly serve.

 As I seek reelection, I do so with gratitude for your support and a clear vision for the work that still lies ahead.

 While we have made significant progress, there are important challenges that require continued focus and leadership. We must continue our efforts to reduce recidivism by helping individuals successfully reintegrate into society and break the cycle of repeated criminal behavior. We must strengthen our response to those suffering from substance use disorder by connecting them with treatment and recovery resources that can transform lives and families.

 We must remain committed to identifying, rescuing, and supporting victims of sex trafficking while holding offenders accountable. We must also continue expanding programs and partnerships that assist individuals struggling with mental illness, ensuring they receive the care and services they need while protecting public safety.

 Most importantly, we must continue investing in the men and women who serve our community every day. Our employees deserve the very best training, the most effective equipment, and the resources necessary to perform their duties professionally and safely. Every employee who puts on a badge or reports to work in support of our mission deserves to return home safely to their family at the end of every shift.

 Public safety is not a destination—it is an ongoing commitment. My experience, dedication, and passion for serving this community remain as strong today as they were when I first took the oath 45 years ago. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, but I believe our best work is still ahead of us.
